I believe that every child, no matter their background, zip code or socioeconomic status, should have the opportunity to a proper education. I have seen first hand how finances can impact a family and the education that one receives so, I will continue to fight for policies that ensure that young people will not go into debt when they do decide to seek higher education. It is neither fair nor just that students are drowning in debt just to go to school. I aim to make scholarships more accessible and reform K-12 public education so that everyone across the country will recieve a well-rounded education, regardless of where they live.

  • ​We must prepare the next generation for success in college and the workforce and this starts with quality education as early as possible.

There is scientific proof that the climate is changing drastically, and soon, there will be severe consequences that will affect everyone. It is a non partisan issue, and we could spend hours arguing over whose fault it is or we could come together and find a solution. I believe finding a renewable energy source is necessary in order to save our planet and I am willing to raise funding for groups working on this issue. However, it is also on you the people to handle your own carbon footprint, like taking shorter showers or not using plastic straws. I would also attempt to pass a law encouraging lesser usage of plastic straws and bags by lifting a tax relief on companies that choose a different option. It's not a liberal planet, it's not a conservative planet, it's a human planet. This is a problem we all share and it is a solution we should share as well. (grace)

Gun control has never been more relevant to our country than it has now, and I think there should be reasonable regulations on the second amendment in order to tackle this problem. I do not want to take away anyone's guns. Americans should have the right to bear arms, however, gun violence is a very prominent problem, and while I do want to protect your rights, I also want to protect your lives. Strengthening background checks and enforcing existing laws is a good first step in order to prevent more gun related tragedies to infect our nation.
