Education
I believe that every child, no matter their background, zip code or socioeconomic status, should have the opportunity to a proper education. I have seen first hand how finances can impact a family and the education that one receives so, I will continue to fight for policies that ensure that young people will not go into debt when they do decide to seek higher education. It is neither fair nor just that students are drowning in debt just to go to school. I aim to make scholarships more accessible and reform K-12 public education so that everyone across the country will receive a well-rounded education, regardless of where they live.

Accessible Scholarships
-
When one doesn't need to worry about taking out loans or going into debt for a higher education, they are more likely to follow along that path, leading to a more educated and globally competitive workforce
-
We must provide grants and compensation for those who need it most, those from low-income backgrounds
-
We also must provide compensation for the middle class, so more people don't need to become debt-ridden due to college loans
-
-
Equal Pay For Teachers
-
Salaries influence the number of teachers in the workforce by attracting and retaining them
-
This issue mostly impacts low-income students, as these schools face the most difficulty in staffing their schools
-
When teachers are retained, they have more experience and expertise, which is extremely beneficial in areas where experienced teachers are less prominent

Quality K-12 Public Education
-
We must prepare the next generation for success in college and the workforce and this starts with quality education as early as possible
-
As it currently stands, there is a significant discrepancy in public education based on location. I strive to close that gap by providing lower-income schools with grants, resources, and increased teacher training.

Mental Health Education
-
Approximately one in five teens (aged 12 to 18) suffer from at least one mental health disorder.
-
As mental health impacts such a large amount of the teen population, it is important that teens and even younger children are being taught in their schools about how to care for their mental health and informed on how to receive treatment if necessary.
